Joseph H. Morris III, MD

Dr. Joseph H. Morris III, MD is the premier bariatric surgeon in the Southeastern, United States. He is a leader in laparoscopic bariatric surgery in Atlanta.

Dr. Joseph Morris is from Newnan, Ga and a graduate of Newnan High School. He attended The University of Georgia and graduated a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He received his medical degree from Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. 

 

 

Dr. Morris completed his surgical residency at the Oschner Clinic in New Orleans. Upon the conclusion of his residency, he partook in an accredited minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic surgery fellowship with Dr. Karl Leblanc in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After his fellowship, Dr. Morris returned to Newnan to practice surgery in his hometown. Dr. Morris is Board certified through the American Board of Surgery. He is also a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.
